Ekspertgruppen Asylum and Managed Migration Statistics
Mission
To discuss and share information on issues related to asylum and managed migration statistics such as methodology, data transmissions, validation procedures, quality assessment and metadata, would provide advice and assistance to it with regard to those matters.
Task
- Assist the Commission in relation to the implementation of existing Union legislation, programmes and policies
- Assist the Commission in the preparation of delegated acts
- Assist the Commission in the preparation of legislative proposals and policy initiatives
- Coordinate with Member States, exchange of views
- Other (Implementation of statistical requirements in the domain; Harmonisation of methodological concepts; Evaluation and possible use of administrative and other data sources; Issues related to the transmission of data and metadata; Further developing the validation procedures and rules in the domain; Quality assessment of the data; Dissemination of asylum and managed migration statistics; Implementation of improvement actions in the domain where needed; Contributions to international statistical initiatives aiming at improving methodology, quality and availability of statistics on asylum and managed migration.)
- Provides expertise to the Commission when preparing implementing measures, i.e. before the Commission submits these draft measures to a comitology committee
